The Market Research Commandments Part 2
Ignore This Methodology At Your Demise

There are tons of marketers out there who teach various methods for performing market research and they have some good information to share on some new bit of good advice or a new tool which will give you an edge when finding markets to pursue.

What I am about to show you is as fool proof of a step by step list of marketing research as you will find anywhere. This is a no fluff way to uncover the traffic, sales potential, product positioning and competition analysis you need to have the best chance to succeed possible.

There are essentially four main steps to what I will call my “marketing research commandments”:

* Find High Volume Traffic Keyword Searches
* Target Want Market Keywords that have Commercial Value
* Introduce Traffic Streams to USP products and services
* Target Low Competition keywords which allow a quick ROI

Everyone knows finding high volume traffic keywords is essential to succeeding in online marketing, because without a constant stream of relevant visitors to your web site your business will not earn a return on investment and become a waste of time. This is why I use two tools to initially uncover large market area keywords right out of the gate once I know what area I am interested to investigate.

how can i accuratley tell which keywords to use based on search traffic and search result numbers? for instance how many searches per day based on word tracker would be good to have minimum and how many results from google/ competition maximum?

There is no exact rule for this. But, just an opinion, 40 daily searches minimum or 1,200 per month would be comfortable for beginners. Anywhere between 30K-50K competitors may be the max. 100K competitors would be serious keywords for me.

i searched keywords by using keyword tool in google Ad word account, on that when i search for my choice of keyword, I saw one table with list of keywords under category(column) advertiser competition, local & global monthly search volume. My question is what should i have to prefer either keyword with low or high advertiser competition and what should be the CPC either low or high for the keywords

logically speaking .. u shud choose keywords with high advertiser competition … this means .. those keywords have more relevancy thn others …

and .. u shud choose low cpc .. as if u choose high cpc .. u will end up in paying high .. with relevant keywords which are searched more thn other

so this combination of low cpc cost n keyword with high advt competition will enable u to pay optimum amount to meet ur SEO requirement ..

chk this combination ..

low keyword competition n low cpc .. u pay low n u get some revelant keywords

low keyword comp n high cpc .. u pay high n still get some revelant keywords

high keyword comp n high cpc .. u pay high n u u get almost all revelant keywords too (recommended if u can budget for it)

high keyword comp n low cpc .. u pay optimum … n u still get all relevant keywords .. ( highly recommended)
